5 amazing cases of animals raised by animals (in Romania)

Many believe that stories with animals raised by animals exist only in movies. Indeed, such cases are rare, but they are as real as possible.

Over the course of history, there have been over one hundred documented cases of animals raised in animals, in wildlife, without contact with humans. Because of the isolation of civilization and the need to survive, these children have adopted the traits of the animals that have taken care of them.

In this article we present the extraordinary stories of such people. Although they are shocking, they show us that the survival instinct overcomes any obstacle.

  1. Marina Chapman, the raised face of monkeys

A famous case of animals raised by animals is that of Navy Chapman. The girl was born in 1950 in Colombia, and when she was only four years old she was kidnapped from the village where she lived.

It is not known why, soon the kidnappers changed their minds and abandoned it in the middle of the jungle. A child of only four years, abandoned in the wild, would not have much chance of survival.

But the story of the Navy has shown us that it is possible. Scared, the little girl became acquainted with a group of capuchin monkeys who adopted it. Slowly, Marina learned to do it.

It started by observing the behavior of the monkeys. So he realized that if he was under the trees where the animals ate, he could collect the food they escaped.

The little girl slept in the tree and learned to walk in four feet, just like the monkeys. That’s how Marina spent five years in the middle of the jungle until it was discovered by some hunters.

When it was found, she had totally lost her ability to speak. Unfortunately, the encounter with hunters was not a good sign for Marina.

To make money, they sold it to a brothel in Cucuta, where it managed to escape. For a while, he slept on the streets, becoming the slave of a mafia family.

A few years later, she was rescued by a neighbor and moved to the UK, where she now lives. Later, Marina (who married a Braford scientist) has published her memoirs under the title “Unnamed Girl” (the book can be ordered here).

In her book she tells a story that tells us what a strong connection she had with the animals that grew up. At one point, Marina tells, he was very ill because he ate a poisonous plant.

Sensing that the girl might die, one of the monkeys (whom Marina now calls her “grandfather”) led her to a pond of dirty water. The little girl drank from that water, vomited, and then began to feel better.

2. Copii crescuți de animale: Dina Sanichar, omul-lup

In 1867, some hunters discovered something amazing in the Bulandshahr in India. Walking through the woods, they saw a humanoid being, who seemed to be a boy of about 6-7 years old.

The boy walked in four paws, next to a pack of wolves. The animals and the boy entered a cave, and the hunters followed them. After a while, the hunters broke into the cave, killed the wolves, and found the boy.

They took him with them and took him back to civilization, where he was admitted to an orphanage, and the carers baptized Dina Sanichar. The doctors who studied Dina discovered that he had all the traits and behaviors of a wild animal.

He refused to be clothed and pulled off all the clothes that caregivers had placed on him. Like the wolves, Dina bled her bones and made animal sounds.

Although he was constantly cooking, he prefers raw meat. Dina stayed with people for the next 20 years, but she only managed to learn to stand on two legs, dress (though with difficulty), eat from the dish and drink from the glass.

He never learned to talk, but he liked to smoke very much. He died of tuberculosis in 1895.

Born in Siberia, Andrei Tolstik was abandoned by his parents when he was only three months old. Because the family lived in an isolated village, no one realized that Andrew had left alone.

Powerless and unprotected, the baby was rescued by a dog who assumed the task of caring for him. For seven years, the boy was raised by dogs in total isolation.

When they realized that the boy had not been enrolled in school, the social workers began to investigate what had happened to him. They found a boy unable to speak, with an animal behavior.

As long as he had been in contact with people, Andrei had adopted a dog’s behavior. He walked in four feet, biting, sniffing food before eating it, and afraid of people.

He was admitted to an orphanage, and at the beginning he was extreme
